The Science of Energy and Why Your Presence Matters

Ever walked into a room and just knew something was off?

No one says a word. No drama. No big scene.
But still – your body feels it. The tension. The unspoken.
That’s energy.

It lives in every room, every word, every silence.
We’re soaking in it.
All the time.

Sometimes, someone walks in and the whole space softens. You breathe easier. You feel seen. Other times? A single sigh, a sharp glance, and the entire vibe shifts. That’s the invisible power we carry, whether we mean to or not.

And here’s the thing most people don’t talk about: That energy has ethics.

Wait – What Are Vibrational Ethics?

Vibrational ethics isn't a term you hear every day. But once you get it, it changes everything.

It’s the conscious choice to carry your energy in a way that aligns with your core values. Not just in what you do, but in who you be.

It’s how you show up when no one’s watching.
The frequency behind your words.
The intention behind your silence.

When you’re full of self-doubt, overwhelmed, or entangled in someone else’s chaos, that energy doesn’t just stay inside you – it leaks out. Into your conversations. Your work. Your home. Your relationships.

But when you’re rooted in your truth – calm, clear, grounded – you become a lighthouse.
People feel safer around you. They listen more. They trust more.

Not because you're trying to “lead,” but because you are energy they want to follow.

We’re All Antennas

You ever find yourself anxious out of nowhere? Or drained after being around someone, even though nothing “bad” happened?

Yeah. You’re not imagining that. We’re all antennas, constantly picking up on and responding to the vibrations around us.

I learned this firsthand.
Years ago, I was in a relationship where my partner came home tense, like clockwork. Didn’t even need to say a word – his energy hit the room before his feet did. And mine? My whole nervous system would flip into flight mode.

Eventually, I realized: I wasn’t just reacting. I was absorbing it.
So, I asked him to start noticing his own energy. To own it. Not as a punishment, but as a practice. It took time, but slowly, the dynamic shifted. There was more breath. More peace. More space to be.

Vibrational ethics isn’t about perfection. It’s about awareness. A daily practice of choosing how you want to show up – not just for others, but for yourself.

There’s Science Here, Too

This isn’t just intuition talking. It’s neuroscience.

Mirror neurons in our brains are constantly tracking others. We “catch” stress, joy, calm, chaos. Just like that.

That’s why stress spreads silently across teams.
Why you can feel heavy in a relationship without saying a word.
Why some environments feel anxious even when everyone’s pretending to be “fine.”

But it works the other way too.

When someone shows up calm and centered, they shift the room. They don’t have to force anything. Their grounded energy speaks louder than words. That kind of presence creates permission for others to exhale, to open up, to match that frequency.

That’s the kind of leader energy we’re talking about here. Not authority. Not control.
Just real, resonant presence.

So How Do You Start?

You don’t need crystals or mantras or a silent retreat in the mountains (unless you want that). You just need you. A little awareness. A little intention. A willingness to check in.

Try this: Do a Daily Energy Check.

Ask yourself:

What am I carrying today?

Is it grounded? Clear? Or buzzy, heavy, scattered? No judgment – just notice.

Is This Even Mine?

When you feel off, pause.

Ask: Is this emotion truly mine or something I picked up from someone else?

Let go of what doesn’t belong to you.

Come Back to Your Body

Breathwork. Stretching. A walk. Put on a song and move. Anything that grounds you and helps you feel here again.

Set Your Intentional Frequency

Start your day with one question:

What energy do I want to bring into the spaces I enter?
Choose it. Feel it. Live it.

Clear, Recalibrate, Release

If your vibe gets wonky (because, life), take a moment. Visualize releasing what no longer serves and calling in the energy that aligns with your truth.

Your Energy is Your Legacy

It’s not the resume. Or the role. Or the accolades.
It’s how people feel in your presence.
It’s what you leave behind in a room after you’ve walked out.

Practicing vibrational ethics is about claiming your space – not by taking up more, but by becoming more you. More honest. More embodied. More aware.

Because when you show up with that kind of energy?

The world feels it.
And it responds.
